Dental Philosophy

We want to help you keep your teeth clean and healthy for life. Our community partners focus on preventative dentistry instead of performing major restorations. With recent advancements in scientific treatments, dentists can now provide topical medicines that greatly increase your chances of avoiding painful cavities and the need to remove them. These medicines can be applied twice per year during office visits consisting of one hour or less.

Dental Services

By adopting a proactive approach, including regular dental check-ups, professional cleanings, and practicing good oral hygiene habits, individuals can prevent potential dental issues before they escalate. Investing in preventative care not only promotes healthy teeth and gums but also helps avoid costly and invasive treatments in the future.

Preventative Care

Through restorative procedures like fillings, crowns, bridges, and dental implants, individuals can regain their natural smile and bite functionality. Restorative dental care aims to address oral health issues promptly, improving both the aesthetics and overall oral well-being of patients.

Restorative Care

Cosmetic dental care offers a range of procedures designed to enhance the aesthetic appeal of your smile. From teeth whitening and veneers to dental bonding and gum reshaping, these treatments can transform the appearance of your teeth, giving you a confident and radiant smile.

Cosmetic Care

Whether it's severe tooth pain, a knocked-out tooth, or a dental injury, prompt action can help alleviate discomfort and prevent further complications. Emergency dental services are available to address unexpected dental issues, offering timely and professional care to ensure patients' comfort and restore oral health as quickly as possible.

Emergency Care

Pediatric dental care is focused on the oral health needs of children, from infancy through adolescence. It is essential to introduce regular dental visits at an early age to establish good oral hygiene habits and prevent dental issues in the future ensuring the optimal dental well-being of your child as they grow.

Pediatric Care

Periodontal disease, also known as gum disease is caused by the buildup of plaque and bacteria, leading to inflammation and potential damage to the gums and bone structure. Without proper treatment, periodontal disease can progress and result in tooth loss. Regular dental check-ups, proper oral hygiene practices, and professional cleanings are crucial in preventing and managing periodontal disease, ensuring the long-term health of your teeth and gums.

Innovative Dentistry

The world of dentistry is on the verge of changing forever. According to a 2016 study by the CDC, 13% of children 5-19 and 26% of adults 20-64 have untreated dental cavities. Many of these cavities if left untreated will require a filling, root canal, crown, or extraction.

Dentists receive most of their dental school training on these major restorations, which consume more time in the dental office and are more expensive. Equity Dental’s approach is to stop the oral infection and prevent reoccurring infection by providing topical treatments that make your teeth stronger and bactericidal. Thereby reducing the need for future restorative dental procedures.

What To Expect at Your First Visit

During your first visit you will receive a thorough examination by a dentist, x-rays, a treatment recommendation, and possibly a cleaning. In addition, you will have the time to share your dental concerns with the dentist and the other health care providers. During your first visit, you may also receive topical treatments including fluoride varnish, silver diamine fluoride, and/or betadine varnish. If you require further treatment, you will be scheduled for a 2nd visit.

Silver Diamine Fluoride

Silver Diamine Fluoride, commonly known as SDF, is a compound that contains silver, which kills germs that causes tooth decay and can prevents future infections. The silver in SDF leaches into the tooth and can remain for 3 – 12 months providing lasting protection against germs. For more information on SDF visit the American Dental Association at ADA Silver Diamine Fluoride.
